I am going to at least 5 Christmas Parties this year and I love to take an easy homemade hostess gifts to each one.
My friend Wendy at WM Design House had an excellent idea for us to get together and make some very practical and also luxury handmade gifts this year and we brainstormed these fun gift basket ideas together.
I am also the Welcome Home Saturday Guest this week and my friends have shared some great Christmas ideas that you can find at the bottom of this post!

What to Put In a Hostess Gifts Basket
A good rule of thumb for a gift basket for a hostess or a friend or sister is to think about adding 3 to 5 items… Something personal, something delicious, something beautiful, something useful, and something she collects!
Something Personal
This one is my favorite! Something personal that she can use to feel beautiful or smell amazing like Sugar Cookie Scrub,
Something Delicious
Wait, this one might be my favorite!
Something delicious like a homemade and extremely delicious hot cocoa mix, or her favorite chocolate treat!
Something Useful
I am positive that this one should be my favorite.
Something useful like Homemade Vanilla or a special custom blend of Simmering pot mix to make her house smell cozy and delicious. Every woman in my life could use vanilla extract, and how special if you make it yourself for her!
Something Beautiful
Nope, this one is definitely my favorite.
Something beautiful is always a plus! Like these Fabric Wrapped wooden spoons and a matching handmade tea towel would be awesome! I will post one soon! It’s in the works. Something she can show off when she is entertaining guests, and remember you at the same time!
The only thing better than receiving a heartfelt handmade gift is giving a heartfelt handmade gift!
The sky is the limit with gift baskets.
Sometimes you don’t know the hostess personally, and making handmade gifts for a beautiful gift basket is such a thoughtful thing to do and leaves a great first impression.
