Chateau Chic Spring Home Tour
Springtime means so many things, doesn’t it? Change of seasons, change of weather, change of mood, change of decor! I am always ready to shake winter and brighten up my home with spring colors, fresh flowers, and bunnies! Let me show you a few of my favorite spaces and what I am doing to usher in springtime!
I am so excited to be joining some very talented ladies for the Blogger’s Best Spring Home Tours 2022 hosted by the amazing Kelly of The Tattered Pew. You will find the full list of Spring Home Tours at the bottom of this post! Be sure to check them out!

Now for what you’re here for… my home tour!
The Living Room
This winter I made over my living room windows and fireplace. It is by far my favorite view in the house now. I made these basket weave valances myself and I am pretty proud of them! They are showstoppers! I was also able to add a remote control motor to my blinds. That makes me feel extra fancy!
I added this marble tile and painted the fireplace in a beautiful soft linen color from Joanna Gaines Magnolia paint line. You can see the full makeover here!
This couch is a marketplace find that I about spit out my drink when I saw it! The lady was remodeling and I drove as fast as I could (without breaking the law, of course) before she changed her mind. Its leather arms, cheetah tufted body, with black and white houndstooth back and sides are the perfect combination for my eclectic style.
My home is filled with European flea market finds, and that floral oil painting is one. I saw this one and her sister hanging on the other side of the room, and I took all the money out of my purse and went home with them. These are probably my favorite thing! I stare at them on a daily basis amazed at the skill of the artist’s use of brush and color!
The Dining Room
I call this space the dining room, but it’s part of the kitchen. My home is open and the living, dining, and kitchen are all one open space.
Last year I made over this space as well and while I love it very much, I have an itch to change it up again. I am going to memorialize it here in this post as the prettiest dining room makeover to date! LOL
This color makes me happy, well who am I kidding, all of these colors together make me happy! Copper, blue and white, vintage oil paintings, fresh flowers in bright colors, black and white flooring! It’s all just dreamy!
This brass chandelier hung in my grandparent’s dining room since before I was born. I am so proud to have it hanging in my home. If I ever move, you better believe it will be coming with me. This chandelier is a reminder for me. To remember the happy memories and that I have a responsibility to live a good life because I want to make my grandparents and parents proud. Although it hasn’t made me cook every day. I need to work on that.
This back door makeover was so fun and easy. I love how the sun comes in through the “stained glass”. It is so beautiful! I think I’ll do the same thing to my front door come Spring. You can see how I did it here. It adds so much drama to the whole room.
When I remodeled my kitchen on a budget, I added these cabinets from Home Depot. I also picked up this butcher block countertop. It was the most cost-effective countertop and I couldn’t have matched my 10 year old granite. Also, I want to change my granite someday so the butcher block made the most sense at the time. I really enjoy it. It brings some warmth and earthiness to the kitchen dining room.
You can see how I made this adorable spring birdhouse here!
Adding open shelves was another great decision. I love displaying all of my Churchill China and fun projects. This is where I make my coffee and tea every day. This addition has been so useful to me and added so much storage.
If you’re wondering what changes I want to make, I think you’ll want to follow along. It is going to be really cool. I’ll just say rock wall. That’s a hint. I am making over the laundry room first and then the entire kitchen is getting the coolest remodel!
