Gold accents – a shimmering lamp, and a dainty jewelry box – added a touch of whimsy and sparkle. On the walls, I painted a whimsical rainbow and surprised her with this enchanted castle corkboard command center that Gigi (my 5 year old) had drawn on a notecard.

My daughter’s reaction was everything I hoped for. Her eyes widened as she stepped into her room, a gasp escaping her lips. “It’s so pretty, Mama,” she whispered, her fingers trailing along the Rosy Pink wall. “Is it really my room?”
