Easing Into The New Year With Grace and Gratitude
With the start of a new year comes a chance to reset, reflect, and renew. Although this year may bring new challenges, it also brings an opportunity for easing into the new year with grace and gratitude.
Here are some tips for getting started on your journey into 2024.
Easing Into The New Year With Grace And Gratitude
- Set Intentions for Your New Year
Setting intentions is about more than just making resolutions; it’s about setting goals that will shape your life in positive ways throughout the coming year.
Think of intentions as broad-reaching statements that can be broken down into more specific goals like exercising three times per week or reading one book per month.
These goals should be realistic, attainable, and measurable so you can track your progress over time.
My main intention for easing into the new year is to read the entire bible from front to back starting January 1st! You can join me if you would like to. - Practice Self Care
Self-care is one of the best gifts you can give yourself this year.
Whether it’s taking a bubble bath after a long day or scheduling time for a short walk every morning.
Making self-care part of your daily routine helps boost energy levels, improve mental clarity and focus, reduce stress levels, and much more!
Find activities that bring you joy and make sure to carve out time for them each day.
I desperately need to improve my self-care routine this year and it is a priority for me starting now.
I will ease into it though because I know that I want lasting habits. - Be Kind to Yourself
As you move through your journey this year – don’t forget to show yourself compassion along the way.
This one is hard for me. I struggle to be nice to myself, and I am trying to do better.
As life throws curveballs at us all – remember that mistakes are part of being human and instead of beating yourself up – take time to learn from what happened – forgive yourself – and use it as an opportunity to grow even stronger than before!
I have no issues being kind to everyone else, so I am confident I can learn to be kind to myself soon! - Give up one bad habit
Welcome to a happier and healthier you!
Did you know that giving up one bad habit can make all the difference in how you feel on a daily basis?
As women, life can move quickly, leaving us with little time for our own self-care. But as we all know, taking care of ourselves is essential in order to be at our best for everyone else.
That’s why it’s important to give up one bad habit that may have crept into our day-to-day lives – whether it be smoking or overeating – this simple change can transform your overall outlook on life.
Identify which bad habits need changing and what steps you should take next.
You can’t be easing into the new year if you are killing yourself trying to quit all your bad habits. Just start with one and then work on the rest as you tackle them one by one! - Choose a word to focus on for the year
I just ordered this book on Amazon to help me choose my word and I am working through it with the author this week.
Maggie from She Pens Truth has a wonderful method for finding out what your word should be. Find her here
