Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, these printables will help you create beautiful and functional seed packets that you can proudly share with your friends and family.
My friends are getting together this week to share with us how to save the seeds from our garden and I wanted to have some adorable seed packets to share!
I have linked all of the seed saving information for you at the bottom of this post.
Seed Packet DIY Supply List
- Pair of sharp paper scissors
- Linen paper or cardstock in white or off white
- Glue Stick
- My Printable PDF (link to download)
I hope I have made it so easy for you to have beautiful seed packets to share with your friends. Just click on this Seed Packet Printable and it will automatically open a PDF for you to print out on your home printer.
I used my favorite linen business paper from Southworth, but a nice white cardstock will work just as well. I suggest using something thicker than printer paper for stability and to keep the seeds safe.
My printer cut some of my black lines off but it was still the right size, so I used them to save my beloved linen paper! Yours should print at the right size as well and if they look similar to this they will work great.

How To Make Your DIY Seed Packet
- Start by cutting just inside the black lines that make the shape of the envelope
- Follow along the perimeter of the outside black envelope cut lines
- Try to keep your scissors close but just inside the black line. As you can see, I wasn’t perfect.
- The remaining black lines that form the rectangle are fold lines
- Fold along the remaining black lines, and try to keep them only showing on the back side of the seed packet
- Use a glue stick to glue down the sides
- After placing the seeds, glue the remaining flap down to seal the seed packet shut so no seeds escape
