Fabric Covered Flower Pots for the Garden
In today’s post, we are learning how to upcycle terra cotta flower pots with fabric! This is such a fun way to upgrade a plain ole pot and make it fit the decor in a really smart way. We also get to use up our favorite fabric scraps too!
It’s time to start fixing up the porch and putting out our summer flowers! I wanted something fun this year that I could use on my new (to me) outdoor furniture.
We just picked it up yesterday and it needs a little work but I am so excited to get it in tip-top shape. There is a sofa and coffee table and I have the big table that’s always on the porch.
So these terra cotta pots are perfect for my outdoor coffee table decor ideas! I want to add bright pink flowers, but it hasn’t stopped raining here since last week so I haven’t had much time outside to get going. Have you had a ton of rain lately?

They are so cute Amy!!!
thank you my friend!
So cute Amy! Never thought about using Polycrylic for this — perfect choice for outdoors. I love your fabrics!
It works like a charm!
Amy I love this! I have never heard of polycrylic and I was wondering how you got the fabric so smooth on the pot. Now I know. What a great project.
It’s a topcoat for paint but you can use it to seal things as well. It’s thinner and dries harder than mod podge!
I love the fabric you chose Amy. I enjoy decorating terra cotta pots, but I never thought to cover them in fabric before. Thank you for the tip on using polyacrylic, I definitely have fabric lurking about that I can update my pots with.
Oh you will love this project! It’s so fun!
So cute Amy! I never would have thought to add fabric to pots! Almost like a good decoupage craft which I love! Thank you for having me on this hop!
Yes, only no tearing!
Amy, these pots are so adorable! I love your fabric choices and would not have thought to use polyacrylic on them. Thanks for the fabulous tip! Pinning now so I can try this sometime!
Thank you Donna!
These came out so cute Amy! I love them. Honestly, they belong in my house. Just saying :)))
I ship! LOL
Polycrylic is one of my favorite products, but never thought of using it like decoupage; great idea!
It is so easy and dries so hard!
Hi Amy! First, I have to tell you that I love using Polycrylic. It is so versatile and I love that it is water based. The idea of covering terracotta pots with fabric is super creative! Thank you so much for including me in your garden blog hop for Fabulous Fridays. I feel honored.
I am so glad you joined us Anna! Thank you!
What a fun, easy project, and the pots look amazing! You are so incredibly creative. I just love everything you do. I have never used polyacrylic but it’s going in my amazon cart right now.
oh you will never turn back! It is awesome!
