There’s something magical about a kitchen that feels both timeless and fresh—where every cabinet, countertop, and handle tells a story of craftsmanship and intention. That’s exactly what I found at the DeVOL Kitchen Showroom in New York City. As someone who obsesses over design details (especially cabinetry and color!), stepping into their space was like entering my Pinterest board come to life.

This Christmas, my dream came true with a trip of a lifetime to New York City. Between all the holiday magic and winter walks, there was one place I absolutely had to visit – the DeVOL kitchen showroom. Ever since I first saw their designs years ago on Pinterest, I’d been saving images and dreaming of seeing their beautiful kitchens in person. Walking through that showroom was even better than I imagined. The craftsmanship in every cabinet, the depth of their signature colors, the thoughtful details – it all confirmed why I’ve admired their work for so long.

I went with my sisters and my uncle (this was his gift to us, and I am so thankful) were kind enough to humor my kitchen fascination, and I think even they came away impressed by DeVOL’s timeless approach to design. It was worth every minute of the visit, and had me looking at my own kitchen remodel with fresh inspiration.

I will say that the rest of the trip was magical and I still replay all the details in my mind all the time. My uncle was the very best tour guide EVER, and he planned every wonderful excursion to perfection! I hope to go back again soon!

First Impressions: Warmth, Elegance, and “I Could Live Here” Vibes

The showroom, tucked away in NYC’s design district, felt more like a beautifully curated home than a sales floor. Soft lighting, rustic wood accents, and the faint scent of high-quality paint (yes, I noticed!) set the tone. Each kitchen vignette was styled to perfection—think open shelves with vintage ceramics, weathered brass taps, and marble counters worn just enough to look lovingly lived-in.

DeVOL’s signature “unfitted” aesthetic—where cabinets and shelves feel collected over time rather than overly matched—was everywhere. It’s a look that whispers “European countryside” but works just as well in a Brooklyn loft.

Even if a full DeVOL kitchen isn’t in the cards, here’s how to borrow their magic:
